Locals meets holiday guests from near and far and business people, coming from the close by cities Traunreut, Traunstein and Trostberg…“ so the Headline of the „tz“ German Newspaper, when the Michlwirt got awarded the first time at the prize competition „Bavarian kitchen award“, in German it´s called: „Wettbewerb Bayrische Küche“.

In the following years, the name „Michlwirt“ and „Trinkberger“ turned into a well known brand name, known for their best quality and performance and echoed throughout the German press and print media with the following:
„Bavarians best Wirtshäuser - The Pallinger Family Trinkberger is again awarded“, „Golden times for the Family Trinkberger“, „Their sausages are worth Gold Medals“, „At the white blue gastronomy heaven“, „An entrepreneur with courage and bravery“ & „Lighthouse of food-quality“.




With its patron saint as the holy Archangel Michael the traditional family owned hotel being run by its 3rd generation, with Restaurants „Michlwirt“ and Butchery Trinkberger, is managed by Rudolf Trinkberger, (Hotel Owner, General Manager & Master Butcher) and Marianne Trinkberger (Management of the Michlwirt), daughter Stefanie (Bachelor of Hotelmanagement, CCI) and son Rudi (Master Butcher).
The Michlwirt is having the holy Archangel Michael as patron saint.
